Privacy policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026. This policy explains, in plain words, what personal data Easera collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) in mind.
Who we are
Easera (easera.in) is run by Sumit Mohanty as an individual proprietor based in Pune, Maharashtra, India. For anything about your data, contact sumit@easera.in or WhatsApp +91 93073 27073.
What we collect
- When you contact us (WhatsApp, phone, email or a contact form): your name, phone number, email, business details and what you write to us.
- When you are our client: business information, photos and content you give us, and billing details for invoices.
- AI receptionist calls: when we run an AI receptionist for a client business, calls to that business may be recorded and transcribed, and we keep the caller's number, the call time and any details the caller gives (such as a name or a preferred appointment time).
- Website visits: basic technical data such as your browser and pages viewed, which our hosting provider may log for security.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and give you a quote.
- To build, run and support the services you've asked for.
- For AI receptionists: to answer calls, book appointments, take messages and send call details to the business.
- To send invoices and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
AI receptionist calls
For calls handled by an AI receptionist, the client business is responsible for its callers' data, and Easera processes that data on the business's behalf. Callers are told at the start of the call that they are speaking to an AI assistant and that the call may be recorded. Recordings and transcripts are shared only with that business and the service providers needed to run the call.
Who we share it with
We share it only with service providers we use to run our services (such as hosting, telephony, AI voice and messaging providers), and only as much as they need. Some of these providers may store data outside India. We will also share data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become work: up to 12 months.
- Client records and invoices: as long as the law requires (usually up to 8 years for accounts).
- AI receptionist call recordings and transcripts: up to 90 days by default, unless the client business asks for a shorter period or deletes them sooner.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can ask to see your data, correct it, have it deleted, or withdraw your consent, and you can nominate someone to act for you. Contact sumit@easera.in. We will reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards such as access controls and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
